All 2018 Austrian Philharmonic coins are available in Gold, Silver and Platinum versions for pre-sale by APMEX. The coins feature iconic imagery of Vienna Philharmonic, which is the most popular orchestra in the world.
The Gold Philharmonic was the first Philharmonic bullion coin that was issued in 1989. It was the best selling Gold coin in 1992, 1995 and 1996. In 2008, Silver coins were issued which also became an instant hit. Platinum version was introduced in 2016 by the Austrian Mint for new investors and collectors.
The coins are known for its classic designs, purity and since they are available in different versions. Not many coin series are produced in all three metals, making this release even more exciting for collectors.
The Great Organ of the Golden Hall in Vienna’s concert hall, the Musikverein, is featured on the obverse. Other inscriptions include the year, metal content and face value. Cello, harp, violin, Vienna horn and bassoon are shown on the reverse.
