On 2nd December, Edition Victor Gadoury is going to auction a historic gold medal weighing 230 grams in Monaco. The medal celebrates 100 years of Portuguese and allied victory over Napoleon in the Peninsula War of 1808 to 1814.

The obverse features a winged Victory, with a palm frond in her left hand and a trumpet in her right hand. An inscription translates to "Centennial of the Peninsular War 1908 1914".

The reverse features Victory rallying troops and supporting citizenry. The obverse inscription translates to “To valour and patriotism of the people and army of Portugal”.

The medal will be offered with an opening bid of €30,000 and is graded Fleur de Coin by the auction house.
