Switzerland released new ten-franc note on Wednesday which will be circulated on 18th October. 50 franc and 20 franc notes from the latest series entered circulation in April 2016 and May 2017 respectively.
Each note in the new series portrays a different aspect of Switzerland using graphic elements. The “hand and globe” design is used on every note. Switzerland’s organizational talent is depicted using the key motif of time on the new 10 franc banknote. The colour remains unchanged, but like all other notes in the new series, they are smaller in size and also feature improved design and security features. The new 200 franc note will be released in autumn while new 1000 franc and 100 franc notes will be released in 2019.
