APMEX and the Banco de Mexico collaborated to release the first-ever Reverse Proof Silver Libertad in 2015. The two-coin set also comprised of the Proof Silver Libertad. All the 500 sets went out of stock quickly due to its popularity. 1,000 sets were released in 2016 and the mintage was dropped back to 500 to turn them into rare collectibles.

Like the first two coins, the third release features a 1 oz Proof Silver Libertad and a 1 oz Reverse Proof Silver Libertad. They are packaged in a custom wooden box featuring the Winged Victory, Banco de México logo, and APMEX logo. Every set is also accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity.
