Artist Carves Coin Design on Oreo
2016-02-05 Fri
Well, imagine coins were made of your favourite Oreo, you wouldn’t need banks to lock them up safely; you can simply pop them in whenever you want. Also, when an artist is at work, imagination can seek new heights.Possibly, artist Javier Fiore was hungry and was taking a small break when he decided to do something really bizarre yet interesting. He carved the obverse design of the Indian Head 5-cent coin, popularly known as the "Buffalo nickel," into the crème side of an Oreo!
In no time, he was the talk of the town when he posted a picture of his one-of-a-kind masterpiece last week on Facebook which was later shared by the Original Hobo Nickel Society.
Though it might not fetch $100,000 like the original Indian Head 5-cent coins, its beauty will easily subdue the charm of the ever-so-yummy Oreo on which it is engraved!
