According to the Chinese Lunar Calendar, 2018 would be called Year of the Dog. The new coins are made of .9999 fine Gold and depict a Labrador retriever. They are also available in versions weighing from 1/2 oz up to 1 kilo. Both the designs also feature backgrounds which are unique to this series.
