UN Philately to be Celebrated Through UN Expo 17

A stamp show celebrating UN philately, named UN Expo 17, a World Series of Philately Exhibition, will take place on 27th and 28th October at Sundman Hall in the American Philatelic Center at 100 Match Factory Place in Bellefonte, Pa.Over 1,600 pages of competitive exhibits, dealers with specialized U.N. material, and U.N. collecting presentations will be featured at the event. The U.N. Postal Administration and special guests from U.N. headquarters in New York will attend the show.
A first-day ceremony for the new Universal Declaration of Human Rights stamp issue will be presented by UNPA. Special exhibits prepared by the UNPA and the Smithsonian National Postal Museum will also be showcased. A one-hour presentation will be conducted by the museum. A Smithsonian presentation about Dag Hammarskjold and Celebrate the Century stamps will also take place. The UNPI luncheon and UN Expo 17 awards presentation are other planned events.
