Kumaragupta is the only king to issue Rhinoceros Slayer Type coins. These coins were a new addition to the sports series made by him. None of his successors are known to have revived this type. The obverse depicts the king riding a horse and attacking a rhinoceros with a sword and the reverse is quite unique. It depicts Goddess Ganga standing left on Makara, holding lotus in right hand.

Another 25 paisa coin which we all are familiar with was launched in 1998.The obverse of this coin shows the Lion capital of Ashoka, with legend "Satyameva Jayate" in Devanagari inscribed below it. The value of the coin 25 Paisa is shown in at the centre bottom. The words "Bharat" and "Paisa" in Hindi appear on the left periphery, with "INDIA" and "PAISA" in English on the right periphery and the reverse depicts "One Horned Rhino" at the centre. The year of issue 1998 shows in above the central design.
