Canal Zone and the Stanley Cutler collection of the Ryukyu Islands will be auctioned in the Kelleher offices in Danbury, Conn on 6th October. The Canal Zone collection was put together over multiple generations and includes interesting overprint and perforation varieties.

One of the highlights is a 1926 5¢ dark blue Theodore Roosevelt in a vertical pair, with the bottom stamp overprinted “ZONE”. There are only 10 known examples of this error stamp. Airmails, postage due, Officials, postal stationery, and collections are also included. Stamps and error varieties, postal history, essays and proofs, revenues etc are offered in the Ryukyus collection.
