Indian Yoga Experts Celebrated on Latest Japanese Stamps

Japan released special postage stamps featuring Bishnu Charan Ghosh and his family members who are responsible for spreading yoga in Japan. The four personalities depicted on the stamps are Bengal’s famous exponents of yoga - Bishnu Charan Ghosh, his son Biswanath Ghosh, daughter Karuna Ghosh and Karuna’s father in law Asutosh Ghosh. These stamps were officially showcased by the Japanese Consul General in Kolkata, Masayuki Taga.Japan has never released postal stamps featuring yoga experts before. Officials stated that these four yogis from India have worked hard to create a cultural linkage between Indian and Japan by promoting yoga in Japan.
People from both the countries have been exchanging knowledge about Indian postural yoga and Japanese martial art which have similar traits. The Japanese official also wished the Indian martial artists performing at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, good luck.
