Ace National Ploughing Champions on Irish Postage Stamps

A three-day event called the National Ploughing Championships is soon going to take place on 19th, 20th and 21st September at Screggan, Tullamore, Co Offaly, Ireland. The country released new stamp commemorating Carlow's Eamonn Tracey, who has won seven consecutive national ploughing championships.The stamps also portray old-school ploughing featuring Kildare ploughmen Godfrey Worrell, his son Darren with their Irish draught plough horses, Sally and Larry.
The competition is expected to be very tough and more than 320 competitors are going to take part in the event. It is also expected that more than 280,000 people are going to come down and witness the competition.
