Final Beatrix Potter 50p Coin Features Benjamin Bunny
2017-09-05 Tue
The Royal Mint has launched the final coin for the popular 50p Beatrix Potter collection. The limited edition set celebrates 150 years of the children's author. Two types of coins are offered by the Royal Mint. Only 40,000 Benjamin Bunny coins in colour are available. Many of these coins are being now sold on eBay for higher values. The entire set has a resale value of £1,000 on online portals. The latest 50p piece comes in fold-out packaging featuring Ms Potter's illustrations. The reverse of every coin depicts a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Royal Mint Engraver Jody Clark.
The coins have not been circulated and nobody would be able to find them in their change. The response was amazing last year and collectors have been asked to buy them quickly before the stocks run out.
