This glimmering piece of beauty - the 2016 Australian Kangaroo High Relief Silver Antiqued Coin was just released by the Perth Mint of Australia. Featuring the country’s national animal, Kangaroo, this coin has a unique rimless design and is minted of 99.9% silver to an antique finish.

The reverse portrays a single adult kangaroo hopping across Australian pastures and a lizard on a rock surveying the scene.

The obverse features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Ian Rank-Broadley with inscriptions – ‘ELIZABETH II’, ‘AUSTRALIA’, ‘2 OZ 999 SILVER’, ‘2016’ and ‘2 DOLLARS’.
