Monaco Audiovisual Archives Celebrated on postage Stamps

Monaco recently released a €0,71 postage stamp celebrating the Monaco Audiovisual Archives. A total of 50,000 postage stamps were released in sheets of 10 interestingly designed postage stamps.Established in 1997, the Audiovisual Archives Association is responsible for identifying, collecting, restoring, protecting, preserving, disseminating and enhancing all types of audio and images. From animated to realistic, professional to amateur, all related to the Principality of Monaco. The archives highlight history and cinematographic heritage of the country through artistic films under the label “Monaco in films” and “Tuesday Films”. A project portraying Monaco called “All the Art of cinema” is another initiative of the organization. It is funded by the Princess of Hanover.
