Series 2013 $100 Federal Reserve Notes to be Released 2018

The Series 2013 $100 Federal Reserve notes were printed in October 2014 for the first time but were never released. The same banknote is now going to be released in 2018. The notes have been already given to Federal Reserve Banks.The notes will be circulated to commercial banks on a first in, first out basis. After all supplies of the Series 2009 and 2009A are over, the 2013 notes will be circulated. The note features signatures of Rosa Gumataotao Rios and Jacob Lew who once served as U.S. treasurer and Treasury secretary respectively.
Based on the demand for these notes at every Federal Reserve district, they would be distributed. They will not be issued in all districts at one go.
Regular issue Series 2013 notes have been printed for the New York, Atlanta, and San Francisco banks. Star notes have been also released for New York and San Francisco banks.
Officials revealed that the notes are being released to avoid confusion in the marketplace soon after the Series 2009 and 2009A notes were released.
