The 2017 August Hong Kong Auction is going to offer scarce and high-quality banknotes, some of which have hit the markets for the first time and some are the finest graded for their type.

Highlights include two About Uncirculated Ming Dynasty notes which are the finest known of its type. A Shun Yee 100 Coppers note is being offered after a very long time and is also in Very Fine condition.

The Lucky Number 8 Collection of Hassan Al-Naimi features several Serial Number 8 notes. Two special notes from the Straits Settlements of the Yuri Solovey Collection includes a Pick 5 early 1916 dated 100 Dollar note.

The People's Republic of China notes like a Pick 858a 1951 10,000 Yuan note in Choice Extremely Fine 45 grade is another showstopper. A Pick 857Ca 5,000 Yuan in About Uncirculated condition is also offered.

Special Singapore notes like an issued and specimen version of the Pick 8 10,000 Dollar Singapore notes are also something to look out for.
