A 1837-42 C.Bechtler G$1 NGC MS62 (28G, N REVERSED) is a gold coin with light rose-gold tints. Manufactured in North Carolina, the coin was not publicized effectively and preceded the more well-known California Gold Rush of the 1840s and '50s.
