De La Rue and Clydesdale Bank joined hands to design the new £10 note which will continue to depict the celebrated Scot poet Robert Burns. The design also features the landscape of the old and new towns of Edinburgh.£5 polymer note was released by Clydesdale Bank and produced by De La Rue last September. Both these new notes are smaller in size and are produced on De La Rue’s innovative Safeguard® polymer substrate. They include the Spark® Orbital™ security feature that shows Scotland on a transparent window. It changes colour upon moving or tiling of the note. These notes are more durable and more secure.
