2017-07-22 Sat
The Central Bank of Paraguay will release "G" series tickets, ? 20,000; "I" of ? 50,000 and "I", ? 100,000. The security features of the new notes will be similar to that of the earlier series, except for better security threads. These tickets have been in circulation since 23rd December 2016.Three levels of security have been implemented on the notes. The first level of features can be easily identified by the public, for example, security thread, watermark, perfect registration, etc. The second level of security features can be identified by devices used by financial institutions and big businesses. These features are visible under ultraviolet or infrared light. The third level of features can be identified by central banks and can detect said measures with special machines. The new security thread belongs to the first level of features. The Central Bank is taking steps to ensure that the public can identify this new feature and improve security for transactions.
