Star Currency Notes Sold at The Hong Kong World Coin Auction

Several interesting and rare banknotes were sold at the Hong Kong World Coin Auction that was held from 21st to 23rd June.A 1953 Peoples Republic of China 10 Yuan Pick 870 Note was sold $47,800. A 1955-56 National Bank of Viet Nam 1000 Dong ND Pick 4As Specimen went for $35,850. A 1928 Government of India British Administration 1000 Rupees ND sold for $31,070. The offered note is a rare, high denomination, highly graded as PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45. A Japan Occupation of Siberia Military Currency 10 Yen 1918 sold for $28,680. This rare note was issued during Japan's intervention in the Russian Civil War. A rare oversized note - 1855 Ch'ing Dynasty Board of Revenue 50 Taels Year 5 sold for $28,680. Many other interesting currency notes were sold for an impressive amount at the auction.
