Canada Celebrates the Nation’s 150th Anniversary With New Collector Coins

The Royal Canadian Mint released new collector coins to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the nation featuring Canadian symbols. The famous hexagonal snowflake design representing the Order of Canada appeared for the first time ever on a coin. The coin is coloured with white enamel and is a part of the $20 fine silver coin series that celebrates this momentous event. Another unique release is a 5 oz. fine silver coin featuring working gears made from original copper cladding. It features the clock over Parliament Hill in antique finish celebrating the 90th anniversary of the Peace Tower.The 2017 Fine Silver Coin featuring a gemstone-studded butterfly; the 2017 $20 Fine Silver Coin – Three-Dimensional Leaping Cougar; the $500 Pure Gold Coin featuring Maple Leaves; the 2017 $15 Fine Silver Coin depicting the Great Canadian Outdoors: Around the Campfire; the 2017 $30 Five Silver Coin – Animals in the Moonlight: Orcas. The last two coins are in colour and make use of the glow-in-the-dark technology; the 2017 $20 Fine Silver Coin - En Plein Air: A Paddle Awaits featuring a kayak at the dock; the 2017 $10 Fine Silver Coin – Birds Among Nature's Colours: Nuthatch; The 2017 $20 Fine Silver Coin – Canoe to Tranquil Times, featuring real wood embellishments on a coloured coin; The 2017 $200 Pure Gold Coin and $8 Fine Silver Coin – Feng Shui Good Luck Charms, featuring a centre-cut square hole like traditional Chinese coins; the double crystal-enhanced 2017 $3 Fine Silver Coin Zodiac Series – Leo; and many more!
