As mentioned before, we would be enlightening you about the Seven Wonders of Ancient World.So let’s get started with our very first Ancient marvel which is ‘The Great Pyramid of Giza’.
The massive and incredible architectural monument on Earth, Great Pyramid of Giza was built around 2560 BC. It was world’s tallest structure for a whopping 3800 years, standing at a height of 146.5 meters. It was built for the Fourth Dynasty Pharaoh Khufu.
It is believed the Great Pyramid of Giza was completed in 20 years with the help of 20,000 workers. It is estimated that 2.3 million stone blocks were used, weighing between 2 and 15 tons each.
But can you just imagine how difficult it was to construct this monument? Still, the measurements are perfectly accurate… it is indeed a perfect masterpiece!
No wonder why, the Great Pyramid of Giza was on the list of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It is a testament to human ingenuity and strength, and its size and near-perfect proportions must have been awe-inspiring.
The People's Republic of Congo issued a 35 Franc stamp on Great Pyramid of Giza. It depicts this massive structure in the sandy land of Egypt.
