Sale of 2017 20th Anniversary One-Ounce Platinum American Eagle Proof Coin will begin on 6th July. The first legal tender Platinum American Eagle Proof Coin was released on 6th June 1997. The original designs of this first release have been revived on the new coins to celebrate the 20th anniversary its production. The obverse features Portrait of Liberty. Inscriptions include “LIBERTY,” “2017,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.” The reverse features an Eagle flying over America. Inscriptions include “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “.9995 PLATINUM 1 OZ.,” and “$100”They come in a custom-designed lacquered presentation case with a 20th Anniversary Certificate of Authenticity. Pricing will depend on the Mint’s pricing schedule for products containing platinum. The mintage limit is 10,000 units with a restriction of one order per household.
