Modi released commemorative coins and stamp of Shrimad Rajchandraji

On 29 June 2017, Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, released a special postage stamp and a coin in honour of Shrimad Rajchandra, the spiritual guru of Mahatma Gandhi.A commemorative coin of INR 10 and 150 was released. A stamp of INR 5 was also released depicting Shrimad Rajchandra in a seated pose with a legend “Srimad Rajchandra, A Great Indian Saint”.
The father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi was a follower of Shrimad Rajchandra. Shrimad Rajchandra believed in non-violence. He had self-control on food, talk, and other behavior; keeping clear of all sins, purity all around; honesty, justice, self-meditative, and much more.
He composed Mokshamala when he was sixteen years old. It talks about the conduct and the way of living. The book is believed to be written within just three days.
After his death, his followers have built a Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram Dharampur which is a sanctified and vibrant Ashram on the hillock of Mohangadh. This Ashram organizes various activities for the children and adults along with various other programs on time to time.
