American Eagle Silver Bullion Coins Sale Report for May

The sale of American Eagle silver bullion coins had reduced by 50 percent in April but the demand has more than doubled in May. 2,155,000 of the American Eagle 1-ounce .999 fine silver bullion coins were sold in May; 835,000 coins in April and 1,615,000 pieces in March. The coins were introduced in January when 5,127,500 coins were sold; 1,215,000 coins were sold in February. The 2016 sales report was as follows 5,954,500 coins in January, 4,782,000 in February, 4,106,000 in March, 4,072,000 in April and 4,498,500 in May.Depending on the closing London PM spot price of the metal per troy ounce of a day with, authorised dealers buy these coins from the U.S. Mint with an added $2 premium per coin. Extra premium is added to other dealers, collectors and investors. Authorised purchasers buy America the Beautiful 5-ounce silver bullion coins for the spot price plus $9.75 per coin.
