Marlin on Cayman Islands’ First Ever Bullion Coin

The Scottsdale Mint released a 1-ounce .999 fine silver bullion dollar featuring the marlin for the British Overseas Territory - Cayman Islands. It is first ever bullion coin issued by the country. The coin in Brilliant Uncirculated surface finish has a mintage limit of 50,000 pieces.The islands were very sparsely populated in the 17th century. Today it has many international corporations registered within their governmental boundaries.
The reverse depicts a huge marlin on the ocean’s waters. These long creatures have a spear-like snout and a long rigid dorsal fin on their back. The obverse features the common portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, Helen Kilpatrick serves as the local governor.
