Star Trek’s Famous “Mirror, Mirror” episode Remembered on Coins

The “Mirror, Mirror” episode of world-famous Star Trek: The Original Series is celebrated on a new Proof .9999 fine silver dollar issued by Perth Mint for Tuvalu. The episode was aired for the first time in 1967. The evil counterparts of the main characters explore the darker side of humanity and the grey shades of a personality in this episode.The obverse features the common portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the denomination, and 2017. The reverse depicts a coloured image of mirror Spock and Spock prime facing each other. Earth bisected by a sword is shown in the background. Spock’s uniform insignia and the Perth Mint’s traditional P Mint mark are also depicted. They are packed in Star Trek themed case that glows upon opening. The pack also has a numbered certificate of authenticity. The 31.107-gram coin has a mintage limit of 3,000 pieces.
