Panama’s 2016 quarter-balboa coloured circulating commemorative coin celebrates the Panama Canal. The coin was struck by Royal Canadian Mint and released in late 2016. Two workers dig on the canal inside the coloured circle. Other elements include steam shovels with their gear teeth and an inscription that indicates the 1907 construction of the canal. The standard coat-of-arms design for Panama is depicted on the reverse.
