Fake £20 Notes Found in England

There have been reports that fake £20 notes are being used in Bridport and Sherborne, England. The public is being warned to check currency before exchanging them as criminals are circulating fake notes through businesses where banknotes are not being checked.The first incident took place on 18th April at a shop in Bridport town where two men used four counterfeit £20 notes to buy goods. Similar incidents were reported on 19th and 20th April as well.
Fake and original £20 notes can be differentiated on the basis of a few checks, like the raised print, metallic thread, watermark, print quality, serial numbers etc.
The public has been asked to hand over fake notes if anybody finds them to the nearest banks so that these notes can be destroyed safely. They can also contact the Police if they have any other kind of information about these fake notes.
