The sale of limited-edition 2017 Congratulations set ended within two minutes on 4th April leading to a lot of disappointment among collectors. There were no household ordering limits which resulted in the immediate Sell Out.

On 5th April it was officially announced that the sale of 2017 Congratulations could be limited due to cancellations, returns and credit card declinations.

Collectors are extremely unhappy and think that these programmes are corrupt. Coin collecting communities are standing together and persuading everyone to not buy these coins from third party vendors like ebay where the set worth $54.95 are being sold for $110 to $225 per set.

There is a second chance for collectors to buy a Proof 2017-S American Eagle silver dollar this year when the coin will be offered in the 2017 Limited Edition Silver Proof set.
