UK released its latest 12-sided £1 coins into circulation on 28th March and the Royal Mint took a new-age and innovative step to create some excitement about the release. Keeping with the modern trends, they thought of a trendy twitter campaign where members of the public were encouraged to post images of the new coin on their official twitter account @RoyalMintUK along with a cool hashtag – #FoundThePound

The campaign was a great success and several citizens of UK posed with their new first day finds on their twitter accounts.
