The 12-piece Angels and Demons Steampunk Coin Collection series from Osborne Coinage Co. feature the demon Cornelius on one of the first two 1-ounce and 5-ounce .999 fine silver medals in Proof as well as Antique/ vintage finishes.Officials mentioned that Steampunk merges technology and artistic design to create inventions that are driven by steam or clockwork mechanisms. This technology is inspired from 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery. Steampunk is a subculture that also includes fashion trends that blend a futuristic look with 19th-century Victorian styles.
Cornelius is depicted on the obverse wearing a metal arm sleeve, bat wings, clawed fingers, and a skull-filled belt. He is also wearing goggles and plays with a huge flame. The reverse features the weight, purity, Mint mark and shifting gears.
The coins have an edge numbering with a matching numbered certificate of authenticity. They come in plastic capsules and have a mintage limit of 2,500 in Proof and 1,500 in Antique/Vintage. The 5-ounce rounds have a mintage limit of 1,000 pieces in Proof and 750 pieces in Antique/Vintage.
