100 Years of Mexican Constitution Celebrated on Banknotes

Mexico released a new 100-peso commemorative banknote celebrating hundred years of its constitution on 5th February 2017. The last commemorative note issued by the country was in the year 2009.The obverse features former Mexican president Venustiano Carranza, the chairman of Congress, Luis Manuel Rojas, at the Constituent Assembly after amending the Constitution. The reverse features Congressmen of the Constituent Assembly swearing to observe. The National Institute of Anthropology and History created the designs.
The note is made of cotton paper and features various security features like intaglio printing, a book and a security threat that changes colour when tilted, a watermark, microprinting, and fluorescence.
