2 Australian Artists Celebrated on 2 New Australian Stamps

Two $1 stamps celebrating the birth anniversaries of two Australian artists: the 150th of impressionist Arthur Streeton (1867-1943), and the 100th of modernist Sidney Nolan (1917-1992) will be issued by Australia Post on 30th March, the inaugural day of Melbourne 2017 FIAP stamp exhibition. Both stamps feature a painting and a photograph of the respective artist.The Streeton stamp features the 1890 painting Near Heidelberg and the Nolan stamp features his 1946 painting Footballer. These paintings are a part of the National Gallery of Victoria. Ego printed these two stamps by offset in sheets of 25. The $1 stamps are used as a domestic rate, and the $2 stamps are used on large envelopes.
Australia Post will have a post office at the exhibition. Apart from the new stamps, several postmarks, limited-edition items, and other stamp-related products will also be available. Over 20,000 pages of stamps from 18 countries will be exhibited at the event.
