The first Principal Deputy Director of the United States Mint, Rhett Jeppson, would be personally signing the certification labels for NGC Jeppson served as Principal Deputy Director from January 2015 to January 2017. He was then appointed as Director of the US Mint on 19th May 2015. He managed several popular releases like the highest denomination gold coin - 2015-W American Liberty High Relief Gold $100.

The 2016 American Liberty Silver Medals, the 2016-W Centennial Gold Mercury Dime, the 2016-W Centennial Gold Standing Liberty Quarter, the 2016-W Centennial Gold Walking Liberty Half Dollar, the 2016-W 30th Anniversary American Silver Eagle and the 2017-P Lincoln Cent were some of the other popular and innovative coins that were released during his term.

He built the base for the 2017 American Liberty US Mint 225th Anniversary Gold $100 featuring Liberty as an African-American woman. Before joining the US mint Jeppson played vital roles in many esteemed private and government organisations.
