Isle of Man Will Continue Using the Round Manx Pound

“Round Pounds” will be legal tender in the UK only till 15th October and the new 12-sided £1 coin will be circulation on 28th March. The older coins will have to be spent or replaced by the public till the October deadline. But the British crown dependency of Isle of Man will continue using the Manx round pound with the new and old UK pound coins.The new 12-sided coin is being introduced to reduce the number of counterfeit £1 coins. A 12-sided Manx pound coin is considered for the future by the Isle of Man. The Isle of Man is not part of the United Kingdom but British crown dependency which issues its own Manx pound. The United Kingdom pound is accepted in the Isle of Man but not the other way round mostly.
