First India-Canada Joint-Issue

The first-ever joint-issue postage stamps between Indian and Canada will be released in September. An announcement about the same was done during a meeting between the post-department officials of both the countries. These stamps will celebrate Diwali and Canada’s 150th anniversary, highlighting the close bond between both countries.Both countries will design and release a stamp each, simultaneously. Both the stamps will be available in both nations. More information about the stamps will be shared a month before Diwali. These general circulation stamps and will be valid for 10 years.
Canada had issued two Diwali stamps in 2011 as well but not for mass circulation like the one which will be released this September.
