Participate in a Cartoon Stamp Contest
2017-02-28 Tue
The 33¢ 200th Anniversary of the White House commemorative was issued on 18th October 2000. It is also the cartoon contest stamp for March by Linn’s. The stamp depicts the White House at night surrounded by snow. The public is asked to share an interesting quote that the President would say about philately, politics, policies or anything else that comes to their mind. Since "President Trump" is a sensitive topic at the moment, contestants are being asked to keep the entries printable. Awards will be given to the best philatelic line and for the best non-philatelic line. Humorous entries have a better chance of winning.Entries can be sent to John Hotchner, Cartoon Contest, Box 1125, Falls Church, VA 22041-0125, or emailed to jmhstamp@verizon.net with the mailing address. The last date for entries is 24th March and the winners would get the book named Linn’s Stamp Identifier or a 13-week subscription to Linn’s.
