New 500-Zloty Banknotes by Bank of Poland

The latest 500 z?oty banknotes of Poland featuring a portrait of King John III Sobieski have advanced security features and are printed with a reduced cost of production. These notes will also ensure an uninterrupted circulation of cash due to a growing demand for high denomination notes.The security features include a windowed security thread, colour-shifting ink and iridescent ink as well, a lobster-tailed pot helmet and windowed security thread that changes colour, and a watermark visible against the light. The note is a part of the series “Rulers of Poland”. It has a colour combination of blue, brown, burgundy and green. Apart from the portrait of the King, the obverse also features the Sobieski family coat-of-arms and a lobster-tailed pot helmet which represents his military achievements. The reverse features an eagle in a crown and the palace in Wilanow.
