200-coin Bags and two-roll sets of 2017 Kennedy Half Dollars

Philadelphia Mint 2017-P Kennedy half dollars and the Denver Mint 2017-D Kennedy half dollars will be offered in bags and rolls on 22nd February. 200-coin canvas bags, worth $139.95 each, will contain 100 coins each from the two production facilities. The coins are also available in 2 rolls set with one 20-coin roll each of 2017-P Kennedy half dollars and 2017-D Kennedy half dollars for $32.95 per set.The obverse features the then Chief U.S. Mint Engraver Gilroy Roberts’ original 1964 portrait of President Kennedy. The Presidential Seal reverse is sculptured by then assistant U.S. Mint engraver, Frank Gasparro.
Production of Kennedy half dollars was stopped after 2002 and The Federal Reserve stopped ordering the coins in 2001 as the demand was not very high.
Roberts’ original 1964 portrait was featured on special copper-nickel clad, .900 fine silver and .9999 fine gold versions of coins that were released on the 50th anniversary of the series in 2014.
