19,244 Proof silver dollar coins were sold on the opening day of sales – 18th January, which is less than 7 percent of the maximum combined mintage in Proof and Uncirculated of 400,000 coins.

25,170 silver dollars were sold out of which the Proofs performed better than the Uncirculated version. 19,244 Proof and 5,926 Uncirculated coins were sold. By 22nd January, 23,349 Proof silver dollars and 7,107 Uncirculated coins were sold. The initial pricing on 21st February is set at $47.95 for the Proof and $46.95 for the Uncirculated coin. The pricing is expected to increase by $5 after the introductory period.
