Royal Mint to Introduce Platinum investment Products in 2017

The Royal Mint and World Platinum Investment Council together are going to introduce platinum bullion products for the first time including bars or coins, or both.Details of the program’s scope were not released. The Royal Mint has produced some platinum collector coins lately with a set mintage limit.
The program aims at increasing the demand for physical platinum and platinum investment opportunities available worldwide. Different kinds of platinum bullion coins and bars will be released in 2017 to meet various investor needs.
In early 2016, Austria announced that it would be issuing its first Philharmonic platinum coin. Officials have stated that platinum has been a source of long-term appreciation and the product range from the Royal Mint would be favourable for retail investors. Platinum demand comes from automotive, industrial, jewellery and investment segments.
