Unannounced Cardinal Forever Envelope Sold

A new Northern Cardinal stamped envelope from the United States Postal Service was found at a post office in Marion County, Ohio. The security-lined envelope features the same designs of the Northern Cardinal forever stamp that was issued on 4th August 2016. The new No. 10-size envelope comes in a pack of 12 with 12 matching Northern Cardinal seals, for $9.95. The cost per envelope along with the seal is 82.9¢.The envelopes were purchased by John Kurtz when he was in Marion. These envelopes were listed as an inventory item but had not been issued and could not be sold. The item is later available for ordering.
The stamp features a male Northern Cardinal on a snow-covered branch of European holly with red berries. “USA FOREVER” is printed on the postage stamp and the pre-printed envelope stamp along with the year date 2016.
