Mastermind of Fake Coin Racket - Sweekar Luthra Arrested in Delhi

A fake coin racket in north India was busted as one of two masterminds Sweekar Luthra, 39 was arrested by the Delhi Police Special Cell on Monday. The man has been accused of minting fake coins in Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan worth crores of rupees. Fake Rs 5 and Rs 10 coins worth Rs 17,390 were recovered from him.He along with his elder brother Upkaar Luthra, 44 minted fake coins worth Rs 10-12 lakh in the Indian and foreign markets even after they were on the run from October when a racket involving counterfeit coins was busted and two racketeers, Gulshan and Sachin, were arrested. The elder brother is still absconding.
The brothers changed their location and cars frequently and spent the night in the car on certain occasions.
