“I can create a new world for myself!” –Frederick ChopinAnd a new world was indeed created by this famous pianist and composer with his melodies! Frederick Chopin from Poland published his first composition when he as young as 7 years of age and a year later he began performing publically. He became one of the most celebrated pianist and composers and to commemorate him Poland issued 20 Zolty banknotes featuring his portrait and notes!
The 200th birth anniversary of the eminent Frederick Chopin was commemorated by the National Bank of Poland by issuing a collector note on 19th March 2009. The obverse of the note depicts a portrait of Frederick Chopin in profile, produced with the steel engraving technique. On the right is a composition by Chopin of the famous lively Polish dance, the Mazurka in triple metre with his signature.
The reverse has an Etude - a musical composition, usually instrumental, intended mainly for the practice of some point of technique - by Chopin against the backdrop of a famous Polish landscape of the Willow trees.
This note –as the compositions of Chopin – takes us to a different melodious world!
