The year-long Haryana Swarna Jayanti celebration was kick-started with the release of a special commemorative postage stamp from Gurugram on 1st November 2016.

Apart from the launch of the new postage stamp, several other schemes like the ‘Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojana’, Automation of Fair Price Shops and Kerosene Free Haryana in the presence of several esteemed dignitaries. Some districts were declared as Kerosene Free and some as Open Defecation Free.
