Fort Moultrie Quarter-Dollar Launch Event on 17th November

On 17th November, the U.S Mint is going to launch the Fort Moultrie quarter dollars at a free-for-public ceremony at Sullivan’s Island, South Carolina at 10:30 a.m. The coins can be purchased at face value, with a minimum purchase of one roll ($10) and a maximum of 10 rolls ($100).This one is the 35th coin belonging to the America the Beautiful Quarters program. The reverse depicts a scene from the 28th June 1776, Battle of Sullivan’s Island: Sergeant William Jasper, 2nd South Carolina regiment, saving the flag and replanting it onto the palmetto log fort.
A free and open coin forum to share information on how America the Beautiful coins are designed and manufactured would be also held at the Fort Moultrie Visitor Centre from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m on 16th November.
