On 12th October, Ukraine released a new coin named “Ukraine Begins with You” as a mark of respect to all the volunteers who dedicate their time and efforts to help the underprivileged, or who contribute selflessly towards various sectors like education, home-care and emergency services.

Volodymyr Taran, Oleksandr Kharuk, and Sergey Kharuk together designed the coin with the obverse featuring the national Ukrainian emblem, a stylized trident of the princely State of Volodymyr the Great made of hearts. Other inscriptions on the obverse include YKPAIHA (Ukraine), 5 Grivnia in Ukrainian language, 2016 and the mintmark.

The reverse features a Ukrainian soldier with a yellow-and-blue heart, surrounded by open hands representing love, affection and kindness.

The mintage limit of 5 Grivnia 16.5 g Nickel BU and coloured coin is 50,000.
