2017 Australian Kookaburra Silver Bullion Coins Released

From 10th October onwards the sale of the 2017 Australian Kookaburra Silver Bullion Coins started officially. The coins feature two kookaburras on a wooden fence. This 99.9% pure silver coin belongs to Perth Mint’s oldest bullion annual series which began in 1990. Every year, a new design featuring the kookaburra is introduced which attracts both collectors and investors.The coins come in three sizes — 1 kilo, 10oz and 1oz. The mintage limit of the 1oz coins is 500,000 and there is no mintage limit for 1 kilo and 10oz coins. Other inscriptions on the reverse include AUSTRALIA KOOKABURRA, 2017, the coin’s weight, 999 SILVER, ‘P’ mintmark of Perth Mint.
Obverses feature the common portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the inscriptions ELIZABETH II, AUSTRALIA, and 1 DOLLAR, 10 DOLLARS, or 30 DOLLARS.
