The Perth Mint recently released a set of 2016 Australian Kangaroo Silver Proof Coins in 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz sizes. They are available for AUS $199.09. This new set was released after a bullion version of the same coin made over 10 million in sales.

The design features a single Kangaroo with sun rays in the background. Other inscriptions include AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO, 2016, 9999 SILVER, the Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, and 1oz, 1/2oz, 1/4oz, or 1/10oz.

The obverse features the common portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the inscriptions ELIZABETH II, AUSTRALIA and the face values.

The mintage limit of the 1 troy oz 1 Dollar 99.99 Pure silver 31.107 grams coin, the 0.5 troy oz 0.5 Dollar 99.99 Pure silver 12.553 grams coin and the 0.10 troy oz 0.10 Dollar 99.99 Pure silver3.111 coin is 3,000. The mintage limit of the 0.25 troy oz 0.25 Dollar 99.99 Pure silver 7.777 grams coin is 13,000.
